D&R Greenway Land Trust developed and hosts the website www.njtrails.org. This website was developed in 2003 to provide the public with a free, convenient, and readily updatable store of information about places in central New Jersey where they could walk and enjoy open spaces preserved by D&RG or other non-profit or public entities. With the passage of time and advances in software methods and products, it has become obvious that improvements are needed to ensure that the website remains attractive to the public, presents useful functions to users, and can be updated and maintained at minimal cost and burden to D&RG.
D&R Greenway seeks proposals from website developers to improve the website in three broad ways:
Improving the visual "look" of the website, while maintaining a tie to its current identity
Making existing functions easier and more convenient for users
Creating procedures that allow non-technical staff to make routine content updates to the site and to monitor important administrative information about the site and listed properties
